watching

the fragile explorers

waddle

play and scoot

the terrain

looking primarily

for momma's

teat

nourishment

sustenance

home

kerfuffle w/purpose

innocent adventure

simple learning

skills

of survival

youth

brings physical

prowess and strength

as knowledge

weak and empty

life

and experience

scales

both as

opposing curves

or is it

in both cases

we return

to whence

we came

wisdom

more apparent

yet

is it possible

our spirit

or soul

entered

in the silent

wisdom

as a child

fresh

from the womb

only

a lifetime

to share

again

and again

makes me ponder

in awe

and beauty

of all

little creatures
