time enough...
time enough
again
the morning's
light
yet to shine
even a hint
a crack
under the door
soot black
no moon
starry
scary
sanctuary
as the cougar
lurks
the kitties
file
in the window
the night shift
reversed
a time
long ago
all gone now
bars
diners
local dives
replaced
as the seeds
of yesterday
now heirlooms
to grow
again
in germination
hard work
failures
a many
lost
are the efforts
of those
marked
and remembered
written
in stone
ashes scattered
wind
and sea
time enough
again
as new ships
ahoy
from twine
to cleats
to winch up
your boots
strapped still
in leather
as the artisan's
rebirth
pride
in the craft
knowledge
in the workmanship
an understanding
of the pleasure
gained
a psychedelic
wonder in
culture
a striving
for excellence
proficient attention
to detail
well beyond
just good enough
a lasting
respect
of life itself
a tranquillity
in simple details
a favorite
knife
a chair
a hammer
serenity
in the mundane
not so much
the big show
for every day
is a momentous
pleasure
dirty diapers
and all
as parents know
a toddler's
reflection
in the uncontrollable
giggle
to pure guffaw
w/only
yet
four teeth
as a mouthful
aplomb
as the teacher's
demeanor
mommy
dada
as little sis
comforted
by
the first born
growing big
as the light
illuminates
the world
outside
enjoying
a quiet
cuppa
grateful
in the moment
as over all
there is never
time enough
